1. Return Window

You have 30 calendar days from the date your order is delivered to request a return or exchange. Requests submitted after this 30-day window are not eligible for a refund or replacement.

2. Item Condition

To qualify for a return or exchange, all items must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and in the exact condition received.
  • Original tags must remain attached with all original packaging intact.
  • Free from stains, pet hair, odors (e.g., perfume, smoke, detergent), and any signs of wear.

3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Quality Guarantee: Because our apparel is printed on demand, if your item arrives with a print defect, material flaw, or an incorrect size/item due to a fulfillment error, we will replace it immediately at no cost to you.

How to report an issue:

Please contact us at info@bytheoceancalifonia.com within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number.
  • A brief explanation of the issue.
  • Clear photos showing the defect, product tag, and packaging.

Once verified, we will arrange a complimentary replacement or process a full refund to your original payment method.

4. Size & Preference Exchanges

If you ordered the wrong size or prefer a different design, please reach out to our support team. Please note:

  • For sizing errors or preference-based exchanges, customers are responsible for return shipping postage.
  • We recommend reviewing our detailed Size Guide on each product page prior to placing an order.

5. Non-Returnable / Final Sale Items

The following categories are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Gift cards.
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or promotional clearance.
  • Intimate apparel or items that cannot be restocked for sanitary reasons.

6. Step-by-Step Return Process

  1. Submit a Request: Contact us at info@bytheoceancalifonia.com with your order number. Please do not ship items back without prior authorization.
  2. Ship Your Package: We will provide return instructions and the authorized return address. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.
  3. Inspection: Once delivered, our team inspects the returned items within 3 to 5 business days.
  4. Resolution: You will receive an email confirmation once your return is approved or rejected.

7. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued back to the original method of payment within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your financial institution. Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to a verified error on our part.

8. Order Cancellations

Because items enter printing and production quickly, cancellations must be requested within 2 hours of order placement. Once in production, orders cannot be cancelled and must follow our standard return process upon delivery.
